i am looking for a safe free way to download music, is frostwire the way to go?
depends by what you mean as "safe" no viruses surely but not safe from tracking you and where you leave although i dont think that someone cares about little things like music

I like Freddys answer at the top of this pile. Limewire,like Frostwire,is a bit like going out to the shops,opening all the doors and windows in your home and locking the catflap!
Slimewire is NOT safe. Frostwire is NOT safe. BOTH are illegal. BOTH are full of scumware. Hope you've got enough money put by to buy a new computer when your one gets messed up.

ya its true that audio files dont contain viruses BUT i used to use limewire and many times it looks like you're downloading an audio file but its actually a zip file or something like that. and sometimes those are viruses. so generally its not a good idea to use limewire.

I keep saying this over and over. Any time you file share your asking to get hit. Lime wire' Frost wire are two of the worst out there. You play around lime wire or frost wire your not only asking to get hit with a virus your also asking to get locked up. It's illegal. You get caught' You go to jail. but if you have a good anti-virus then its safe..
some music files in that program are not an audio file
virus, worm, trojan so you better be carefull which you are downloading..
im not sure about Frostwire, but Limewire is full of virus, not ones that can cause much problems but there are a few on Limewire, not sure about Frostwire.
no its not. pay for ur music on itunes for safe downloads.

free + unsafe downloads, use frostwire + pirate bay.

you better have a good virus program. mcafee works awesome cuz i get trojans atleast once a month downloading music
any p2p has risks ----always scan ur downloads ----music and videos are the worst for carrying infections so be aware
even limewire is safe for music downloads. Viruses are not in audio files.
