Where did Lennon get his Mellotron from? I'm working on a research paper about the relationship between the Beatles and early electronic music (John Cage, La Monte Young, Karlheinz Stockhausen, etc.), and have found the bulk of what I'm looking for. I cannot, however, for the life of me where is john lennon fromfind out where the Mellotron came from, or where Lennon heard about it!
I've been through Geoff Emerick's memoirs; the Bob Spitz tome; ProQuest; Google Scholar; etc. Does anyone know? And if possible, can you divulge where you found this information?
